Active Ingredient

Acepromazine Maleate 10 mg

Acevet 10 Tablets Indications

As an aid in restraining cats and dogs during examination, controlling hyperexcitability, vomiting, licking and scratching and as a preanesthetic agent.

Acevet 10 Tablets Dosage And Administration

Dogs: Sedation/restraint/preanesthesia: 0.55 - 2.2 mg/kg body weight, PO. Cats: Sedation/restraint/preanesthesia: 1.1 - 2.2 mg/kg body weight, PO. Repeat after 10 hours if necessary or as recommended by a veterinarian.

Acevet 10 Tablets Caution

Use lower doses and with more caution when administering to very young animals or animals suffering from hepatic dysfunction, cardiac disease or general debilitation, due to possible prolongation of effect.

Contraindications

Phenothiazine derivatives are contraindicated in animals being treated with organophosphates, succinylcholine or other cholinesterase inhibitors. Epinephrine is contraindicated in the treatment of acepromazine maleate overdose. Because of its hypotensive effects, this drug is contraindicated in animals with hypovolemia or shock.
