Description
Each pouch or jar (227 g or 8 oz.) contains:
Acepromazine Maleate
1.25 g
(approximately 27 mg per level teaspoon)
Ace Indications
For the pre-medicative sedation of excitable animals and tranquilization prior to physical examination and travel, and as a pre-anaesthetic agent.
Dosage
In feed or water.
Horses
One level teaspoon orally per 136 kg (300 lb.) body weight.
Dogs And Cats
One level teaspoon orally per 9 kg (20 lb.) body weight.
All animals may be treated morning and night.
Ace Caution
Phenothiazine derivatives are contraindicated in animals being treated with organophosphates, succinylcholine or other cholinesterase inhibitors. Epinephrine is contraindicated in the treatment of acepromazine overdosage. In horses, paralysis of the retractor penis muscle has been associated with the use of phenothiazine-derivative tranquilizers.
Warning
This Drug Is Not To Be Administered To Horses That Are To Be Slaughtered For Use In Human Food.
